International Kwanmukan

George E. Anderson Memorial Budo Award

The George E. Anderson Memorial Award is given to one or more individual International Kwanmukan members who have distinguished themselves in the past year. Individuals may be nominated by any International Kwanmukan Member and shall be selected based on a review and evaluation by the International Kwanmukan. This award is given at the Black Belt Extravaganza.

Requirements

  • A narrative explaining how the nominated individual has made outstanding progress towards human perfection through the practice of the fighting traditions

  • Developed his/her physical prowess both within and without the martial arts

  • Made outstanding progress towards moral and spiritual development

  • Is an example of budo's goal of cultivating the world-within in an effort to enhance the world-without.
